⚠️ Integration note: The ARK Jetson PAB V3 Carrier included in this bundle exposes flight controller I/O (GPS, telemetry, CAN, PWM, RC input) on two 40-pin Molex Pico-Clasp connectors rather than individual Pixhawk-standard JST-GH connectors. Connecting peripherals requires building a custom wiring harness (see the pinout in the documentation) or using the ARK Primary Avionics Breakout and ARK Secondary Avionics Breakout boards. The ARK Jetson PAB V3 Modalix Bundle includes the ARK Jetson PAB V3 Carrier, an ARKV6X Flight Controller, a SiMa.ai Modalix SOM, and a heatsink and fan. The Modalix SOM has built-in eMMC storage, so an SSD is not required. An NDAA compliant 480GB SSD can be added as an option.
⚠️ Modalix Interface Differences: The following interfaces differ from a NVIDIA Jetson module on the ARK Jetson PAB V3:
- UART2 (6 Pin JST-SH) works as a console
- UART1 to the flight controller is not functional
- USB and Ethernet between the Modalix SOM and the flight controller are functional
- Micro HDMI works if the Modalix module is purchased with the HDMI option. These units will not have HDMI.
- PCIE2 only works when HDMI is not used
- No PCIE on the M.2 Key E
- USB C 3.0 works as a host, but the 2.0 interface goes to an FTDI console on the SOM
- No CAN from the Modalix SOM. Flight controller CAN is unchanged.
Optionally add an NDAA compliant 480GB SSD. The Modalix SOM boots and runs from built-in eMMC without one.
