Your AI agent can now browse the ARK Electronics catalog, look up products by SKU, get shipping quotes, and place orders using the same card and PayPal payment processors as our website.
We’ve added a machine-readable catalog, a checkout API, and discovery files for agents. Pricing, stock, and shipping come directly from WooCommerce, the same system that powers the ARK store.
What an agent can do
- Find the store through
/.well-known/ucpand/llms.txt. - Read structured product data, including pricing, stock, shipping weight, and published specifications: voltage, current, protocol, connectors, mounting, weight, firmware, and datasheet links.
- Build a checkout from SKUs and quantities, using the same prices as the website.
- Complete payment through the agent using a payment processor token, or continue to the standard ARK checkout page.
Unpublished specifications remain empty. Agents are instructed not to guess electrical specifications, protocols, compliance, firmware, availability, or country of origin.
Pay through the agent or use the standard checkout
Card payments use WooPayments. The agent creates a Stripe PaymentMethod or ConfirmationToken in its payment interface using the publishable key supplied by the store, then sends that token to ARK. ARK receives the token. ARK does not accept a card number or CVC.
For PayPal, the customer must approve the PayPal order before ARK captures payment. Without an approved order, the agent uses the standard checkout link.
When a card issuer requires an additional confirmation step, the order remains unpaid until that step is completed. Shipping is calculated the same way as on the website, including live FedEx rates.
Order limits, review, and refunds
Agent orders are accepted up to $100,000, including shipping and tax. Orders above this limit are rejected before payment is taken.
Orders totaling $2,500 or more, or containing a product flagged for staff review, are charged and then held until ARK staff release them. This review is separate from the maximum order limit.
Payment processor transaction fees are nonrefundable. When an agent order is refunded, the buyer receives the captured amount minus those fees. See our supply terms for the full policy.
The same catalog customers see
Agents can access products listed in the public shop. Unpublished, password-protected, and catalog-hidden products are excluded. Requests for those products return “not found.”
Out-of-stock products remain visible in the catalog but cannot be purchased until they are available. No store login is required to browse or place an order. Checking an order requires its order ID and order key. Orders placed through the agent workflow are marked as agent orders.
